THE SPIN OFF – QUIZ GAME
RULES OF PLAY AND TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Application and Promoter
1.1 These rules and terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the The Spin Off quiz competitions (each a “Competition” and together the “Competitions”) made available through the The Spin Off mobile application (the “App”).
1.3 Promoter: ITV Studios Global Partnerships Limited, ITV White City, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7RU (company no. 02203983); (“ITV” or the “Promoter”).
1.4 Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, nor responsible for, the Competitions. Standard network/data charges may apply.
2. Definitions
2.1 In these Terms:
(a) “App” means the Spin Off mobile application available via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
(b) “Player” means an eligible entrant with a registered App account.
(c) “Daily Game” has the meaning in clause 4.
(d) “Live Game” has the meaning in clause 6.
(e) “Prize” means any cash or non‑cash prize awarded under these Terms.
(f) “Token” means an entry token earned under clause 5.
(g) “Streak” has the meaning in clause 4.7.
(h) “Power‑Up” has the meaning in clause 4.11.
3. Eligibility & Registration
3.1 Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man aged 18 or over. One account per person.
3.2 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with a Competition are ineligible.
3.3 Players must register and open an account in the App to participate. Registration is via the App only.
3.4 Players must have an active internet connection to play the App and participate in any Competition.
3.5 The Promoter may require proof of age, identity and residency, and may disqualify entries or withhold Prizes where: (i) accounts are shared, automated, or duplicated; (ii) VPNs, emulators, bots or scripts are used; (iii) collusion, database sharing or other unfair play is suspected; or (iv) there is any material breach of these Terms.
4. Daily Games (Skill‑Based Competition)
4.1 Each Daily Game may be entered at any time on the applicable calendar day via the App. Note: if a Daily Game is started before 23:59, players have to complete by 01:00 to be entered into the previous day’s draw. After that time the entry will be void.
4.2 One entry per Player per day. Each Daily Game comprises six (6) knowledge‑based questions with a maximum of 15 seconds per question.
4.3 Question topic and format are selected at random from the daily question database and displayed via the dual‑spinner system.
4.4 Example subjects include (without limitation): Places; Popular Culture; Entertainment; Celebrity; Music; Sport; Food & Drink; Natural World.
4.5 Example question formats include:
(a) Order – place three items in the correct order.
(b) Picture – identify who/what/where from an image (3 options).
(c) Squares – select all correct squares in a 6‑square grid.
(d) Middler – choose the answer that fits between two given answers (4 options).
(e) Odd One Out – select the odd one out (from 3 answers).
(f) Mind The Gap – first and last letters given; choose remaining letters from an anagram list.
4.6 Scoring (Daily Game):
(a) Correct answer: +10 points.
(b) Fast‑answer bonus per question: under 3s: +3; under 6s: +2; under 10s: +1; 10s or more: 0.
(c) Streak‑in‑game (consecutive correct answers) bonus: 3 correct: +5; 4: +10; 5: +20; 6: +50.
4.7 Daily Streaks: Players earn extra points by completing the Daily Game on consecutive days (a “Streak”).
4.8 A Streak multiplier applied to daily total:
Day 1: 1.0×; Days 2–3: 1.05×; Days 4–6: 1.10×; Days 7–13: 1.15×; Days 14–29: 1.20×; Day 30+: 1.25×; Day 60+ cap: 1.50×.
4.9 If a Player misses a day, the Streak ends and the multiplier resets to 1.0 on the next day.
4.10 Fractional scores are rounded up to the nearest whole number. Leaderboards will display the Player’s username and avatar.
4.11 Power‑Ups: Players may earn Power‑Ups during gameplay by answering questions successfully and/or via certain in‑App activities (e.g., refer‑a‑friend). Power‑Ups are awarded at the end of that day’s Competition.
4.12 Using Power‑Ups: One (1) Power‑Up may be used per Daily Game by selecting it during a question. The “Streak Saver” power-up is applied automatically to protect a Streak if a Player misses a day and does not impact a Player’s one power-up per Daily Game.
4.13 Available Power‑Ups:
(a) Streak Saver (Common) – protects your daily Streak if you miss a day; applies automatically if owned.
(b) Freeze Timer (Mid) – pauses the countdown for +3 seconds; usable after reveal and before the timer begins.
(c) Double Up (Mid) – doubles leaderboard points for one question if answered correctly; usable after reveal and before the timer begins.
(d) Spin Swap (Rare) – re‑spin for a new question type; usable after reveal and before the timer begins. (e) Solve For Me (Rare) – reveals the correct answer immediately; usable after reveal and before the timer begins.
5. Prizes – Daily Games
5.1 For each point scored, Players receive one (1) Token for a share of the daily prize pot. At the end of each day, all Tokens won by Players are entered into a random draw to determine winners.
5.2 Daily cash prize pot: minimum of either £500 per day shared by twenty seven (27) Players or £1,000 per day shared by sixty (60) Players whose tokens are drawn at random on that day.
5.3 Daily prizes available:
If the total prize pot is £500: 1 × £100; 2 × £50; 4 × £25; 20 × £10.
If the total prize pot is £1,000: 1 × £100; 4 × £50; 10 × £25; 45 × £10.
5.4 The Promoter may amend or increase the prize pot and/or distribution; any change will be announced prior to the relevant Competition.
5.5 ITV show‑themed prizes: Each Daily Game includes one question indicated by an ITV show logo. Players who answer that question correctly will be entered into a separate draw for the relevant ITV show‑themed Prize.
5.6 Winners of ITV show‑themed prizes will be drawn and notified by Tuesday 30 April 2026. Prize fulfilment is via the applicable prize provider and subject to that provider’s terms, availability, and any age/health restrictions. Unless expressly stated, travel, accommodation, insurance, meals, taxes and personal expenses are not included. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value or offer a cash equivalent alternative at the Promoter’s discretion.
5.7 Prize descriptions for ITV show-themed prizes are outlined in Appendix A. All Winners and any accompanying guests must be aged 18 years of over.
6. Live Game (Skill‑Based Competition)
6.1 The Live Game is entered via the App during the period of the live broadcast. Four (4) live episodes of approximately twenty (20) minutes each will be announced in‑App.
6.2 Each Player is asked twelve (12) knowledge‑based questions under time pressure. Players who answer each question correctly progress through the competition to the next question. If a Player gives an incorrect answer at any stage, they are eliminated from winning a share of the prize pool. Players can continue to play along for entries to ITV show themed prizes.
6.3 All players who answer all 12 questions correctly will win an equal share of the applicable prize pool (details announced in‑App in advance of each Live Game episode). A Player will win a maximum of one Prize per Live Game. If there are no Players achieving 12 correct answers, the cash prize pool will be distributed by being divided equally between all Players that achieved the most correct answers.
6.4 Prizes may vary according to eligibility.
7. Winner Selection, Notification & Claim
7.1 Selection: (a) Daily Games: winners are selected by random draw of Tokens (clause 5). The more Tokens a Player holds, the greater their chance of winning. (b) Live Game: winners share the applicable prize pool as announced in‑App.
7.2 Notification: Winners will be notified by email within seventy-two(72) hours of selection and will also receive an in‑App notification that they have won a prize..
7.3 Claim & Verification: Prize verification and payments will be handled by our authorised partner PrizeShark Limited of Elmfield House, New Yatt Road, Witney, Oxford, OX28 1PB (company no. 05340815)
Winners have twenty‑eight (28) days from notification to redeem their Prize (the “Redemption Period”). Winners must upload acceptable photo ID (driving licence or passport) for 18+ verification. Winners will be asked to provide payout details (PayPal). An alternative payment mechanism such as bank details if Winner is unable to utilize a PayPal account). If a winner does not respond, the Promoter will make at least three (3) further contact attempts. Failure to respond or to satisfy verification within the Redemption Period results in forfeiture. 7.4 Payment timing (cash prizes): Subject to successful verification, cash prizes will be paid within fourteen (14) days via PayPal (or other method where applicable).
8. Fair Play, Manipulation & Disqualification
8.1 The Promoter is committed to fair operation and preventing collusion or cheating.
8.2 Without limitation, the Promoter may disqualify and/or discount entries if it has reasonable grounds to suspect: (a) manipulation of outcomes; (b) breach of these Terms or the ITV Conditions; (c) use of automated or semi‑automated technology (including bots, scripts, scraping tools or emulators); (d) collusion, data‑sharing or other unfair advantage; or (e) multiple or disguised entries/accounts intended to circumvent limits.
8.3 In addition to disqualification, the Promoter may suspend or terminate accounts, withhold or reclaim Prizes, and/or ban the individual from future interactivity where misuse is suspected.
8.4 It is not permitted to play on two different devices at the same time. This will affect performance on both devices.
9. App Use – Restrictions
9.1 By accessing any part of the App and related services you agree you will not, among other things: (a) reverse‑engineer or reproduce the App except as permitted; (b) encourage unlawful activity or cause distress to others; (c) infringe privacy rights of other users; (d) commercialise the App or content; (e) use plug‑ins or tools to change content; (f) damage or attempt to access Promoter systems or user data; (g) bring the App or Promoter into disrepute; (h) introduce malware; (i) circumvent geo‑blocking or regionalisation; (j) interfere with security; (k) suggest any commercial relationship or agency with the Promoter; (l) block/disable/obscure advertising; or (m) scrape or create databases from App content.
10. Privacy & Publicity
10.1 Personal data provided when entering will be processed for administering the Competitions in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy and Cookie Notice. www.itv.com/thespinoff/privacy. The Promoter may contact you where there is an issue with the service.
10.2 Marketing: the Promoter will send you marketing only where you have consented or as otherwise permitted. You may opt out at any time using the in game settings or other methods notified to you.
10.3 Winners: the Promoter may publish the username, surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable, winning entries. Winners may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity. You may object to publication or request limited disclosure by contacting itv@low6liveops.atlassian.net, in which case the Promoter will still provide information to the ASA or a competent authority on request.
11. Third‑Party Content & Services
11.1 The App may link to third‑party websites/services or distribute content via third‑party platforms. Those third parties are independent and responsible for their services and terms.
11.2 The Promoter is not party to your transactions with third‑party services and is not liable for their content, availability, actions or omissions.
12. Liability
12.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud).
12.2 Subject to clause 12.1: (a) the Promoter does not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free services and may suspend them for reasons including maintenance or events beyond its control; (b) the Promoter is not responsible for faults, malfunctions, damage, loss or disappointment suffered by entrants arising from participation or acceptance of any Prize; (c) the Promoter is not liable for costs/expenses incurred in making an entry; (d) the Promoter is not responsible for lost, delayed, mis‑received or misdirected entries; and (e) the Promoter may amend any element of a Competition for reasons beyond its reasonable control (including strike, illness, natural disaster, adverse weather, war, civil commotion, epidemic/pandemic, malicious damage, compliance with law, or breakdown of plant/machinery/transportation).
12.3 You agree to reimburse the Promoter for losses resulting from third‑party claims arising from your unlawful use of the services or breach of these Terms.
13. Random Draws & Records
13.1 Random draws will be conducted using a computerised random number generator. Draw logs will be retained for at least twelve (12) months and may be provided to the ASA or a competent authority on request.
14. Changes, Suspension & Cancellation
14.1 The Promoter may cancel, suspend, or amend any Competition where necessary for reasons beyond its reasonable control.
15. Privacy and personal data
15.1 Information and data ("personal data") which is provided by you when you enter a Competition or prize draw, will be held by the Promoter and ITV and may be used by the Promoter, ITV, the producer of the programme (if applicable) and their service providers, network operators, suppliers and contractors for the purposes of administering the Competitions. You agree that this includes without limitation that the Promoter may contact you if there is an issue with the interactive service. Further details of how any personal data will be used are set out below and in ITV’s privacy policy at www.itv.com/privacy and you agree to this use of your personal data when you participate in our interactive services.
15.2 Generally, the Promoter will only send you marketing messages if you indicate that you consent (e.g. by "opting-in") to receiving such messages. By choosing to interact with our services by SMS text message, you are indicating that you consent to receiving marketing messages from the Promoter to your device in respect of similar products and services. You can avoid receiving these communications by adding NO INFO at the end of your SMS text entry, vote, poll or other message. You may opt out of receiving further marketing at any time by texting STOP to 65456 at no extra cost.
15.3 The Promoter and/or the prize provider may send Player personal data to third parties outside the European Economic Area, for the purposes of administering the interactive service and by entering you agree to such transfer for these purposes.]
16. Intellectual Property
16.1 All copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (whether registered or unregistered) in the interactive services and all material or content made available by Promoter via the interactive services are and will remain at all times the property of Promoter (or Promoter's licensors or third parties, as applicable).
16.2 The names, images and logos identifying Promoter, companies in the ITV group, the Promoter’s partners or third parties and our/their products and services contained in the interactive services are proprietary marks and may not be reproduced or otherwise used without our express permission.
16.3 Nothing in these terms grants you a licence or a right to use any copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents or other intellectual property rights owned or controlled by Promoter, its licensors or any third party, except to the limited extent necessary to use the interactive services.
16.4 You may not copy all or any part of any materials or content made available by Promoter via the interactive services except to the extent permitted in these general terms and conditions, or expressly by the Promoter, or at law.
17. General
17.1 All times are UK time unless stated otherwise.
17.2 Capitalised terms have the meanings given in these Terms. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
17.3 No cash alternative to non‑cash prizes is available unless required by law or determined by Promoter in its sole discretion pursuant to clause 5.6. Prizes are non‑transferable and non‑exchangeable. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
17.4 These Terms are governed by English law. The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory local consumer protections.
17.5 The interaction Terms are available in English only. You agree you have no commercial relationship with the Promoter and are not its agent. You may not assign your rights/obligations. No third party has rights to enforce these Terms.

APPENDIX A
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
A trip to Australia including flights and a visit to the I’m A Celebrity set. The prize will consist of 2 x Economy return flights to Brisbane from any UK airport operating such route. 7 x Nights accommodation for two (twin or double room) in at least a 4* hotel located in Brisbane, Australia. £500 spending money. A visit to the I’m A Celebrity location where the show is filmed. Airport transfers in Brisbane and to the I’m A Celebrity set will be included. Winners must be available to travel at the end of November 2026 for the visit to set.
Love Island
A visit to the Summer 2026 finale for Love Island UK. This prize will consist of 2x Economy return flights to Mallorca from any UK airport operating such a route. 7 x nights accommodation for two (twin or double room) in at least a 4* hotel located in Mallorca, Spain. £500 spending money. 2 x tickets for the finale of the Love Island Summer 2026 UK show. Winners must be available to travel in July / August 2026 for the Love Island finale.
Loose Women
A luxury London treat for 2 people, consisting return train travel to London, 3 x nights accommodation in a 5* central London Hotel, A personal meet and greet with at least one cast member of the Loose Women show. Also included will be a pampering afternoon at a luxury London venue to the value of £500, Dinner to the value of £250 plus £500 spending money. Winners will need be to be available from a Thursday to Sunday.
This Morning
A luxury London trip for 2 people, consisting of return train travel to London, 3 x nights accommodation in a 5* central London Hotel, a personal meet and greet with at least one cast member of the This Morning show. Also included will be a personal shopping trip with a This Morning stylist to the value of £1,000 plus dinner to the value of £250. Winners will need to be available from Thursday to Sunday.
Hell’s Kitchen
A visit for 2 people to Las Vegas with dinner at the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant based at Caesar’s Palace. The trip will comprise of 2 x Economy class return flights to Las Vegas from any UK airport operating such route. 7 x Nights accommodation for two (twin or double room) in at least a 4* hotel located in Las Vegas. £500 spending money. A table for 2 at the Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant with your food and drink covered for up to $500.
ITV Sport
A trip to the races. Your day will consist of return travel to a race meeting, with an access to a meet & greet with some of the ITV racing team of presenters and pundits. A full hospitality package will be included including travel and hotel. The prize will include £1,000 in spending money. Please note it excludes Festivals (including Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Grand National, Royal Ascot, Epsom Derby, Glorious Goodwood & York Ebor)
Coronation Street
An exclusive tour and visit for 2 people to the iconic cobbles. See behind the scenes with the chance to meet some of the stars of the show. Prize includes return train travel to Manchester within the UK, 2 x nights at a central Manchester hotel, plus £1,000 spending money.
Emmerdale
An exclusive tour and visit for 2 people to the Emmerdale village and set. See behind the scenes with the chance to meet some of the stars of the show. Prize includes return train travel to Leeds within the UK, 2 x nights at a country hotel, entry to Harewood House plus £1,000 spending money.
The Voice
2 x tickets to the 2026 semi-final or final of The Voice. This prize will consist of a return train travel within the UK. 2 x Nights hotel accommodation for two (twin or double room). £1,000 spending money and the chance for meet & greet with one of the stars of the show. Winners must be available to on the filming dates advised.
